Hi Daddy

Part 1:
Kaylon's 1st word, obviously, was Da Da. But recently he has been referring to Ryan as "MaMa" which has really been bugging him. Every time we correct him.
Part 2:
Ryan is gone to work well before we get up for the day, so the only time we get to see him is when he gets home from his 2 hour drive (around 7ish) until he goes to bed (8:30ish) and thats when he doesn't stay the night in Orange. It is always the cutest thing when we are playing in the house, or making dinner and Kaylon hears the garage door open. His little head perks up where ever he is at and concentrates real hard to make sure that is really what he is hearing. Confirmation comes when he hears his Daddy walk in the back door. His nearly jumps out of his skin and runs as fast as he can (usually taking the longest route around the house) to get to the back door and love on his Daddy.

Well, Tuesday night, we were cooking dinner and both had our heads in the freezer when the garage door started to open. I heard it, but Kaylon was way to interested in digging in the freezer. So when the back door opened it caught him off guard. When he looked up Ryan was already right next to us (our refrigerator is very close to the garage). He couldn't run around or express his excitement. So when he looked up and saw Ryan there he just simply said..."Hi Daddy"
Uggghh! Priceless!

My little Rock Star

From this...

to this!

My stomach was in knots while she was buzzing all my sweet boy's hair away! But it was time for some summer fun!

Blue Permanent Marker

FYI: Blue permanent marker comes off of pergo wood floor with acetone nail polish remover.

This video was taken after my initial shock and acceptance that the damage had been done and now I need new floors (this floor isn't even a year old yet!) So I sent the video to Daddy, and I called my Mom to figure out what to do (by the way I had just gotten out of the shower...) while she was googling a cure, the first thing that came to my mind was finger nail polish remover...thankfully it worked!

Kolbie's doctor appointment

10 lbs 14 oz 22 inches
She is growing like a weed.
We've been battling tummy problems (at Meagan's FFA Banquet everyone at the tables around us could hear my sweet baby girl successfully passing gas! Totally embarrassing for mommy!)
So we are switching to a sensitive stomach formula for a month or so to see how that works out.
It was also shot day. She didn't get any in the hospital, so this was her first time. She hated it of course. She cried, which made Kaylon cry. He gave her lots of kisses. Its funny, Daddy gets some kisses, Mommy has to steal them, Kolbie...she gets unlimited amounts of kisses. Whats the deal?

So today was a cr@zy day of jealousy. Don't know what was different about today, than other days. From the time I picked Kaylon up from school until he fell asleep to me playing with his hair, he had to be in my lap. Of course, when Kolbie would start to even coo, he would run up to me with his arms up for me to hold him instead. I was sitting in our recliner feeding Kolbie her bottle, while Kaylon crawled from one side of my lap to the other, over and over again until he finally got comfortable laying ON TOP of his sister. I would be happy to say he was loving on her, but this time I'm not so sure. She handles it like a trooper though. Its pretty amazing how resilient a 10 week old can be. She is already used to him pulling on her to give her kisses, and laying on her to give hugs. Check this picture out.

I took it from my phone so it's a little blurry, but this is what Kaylon look like after he is proud of himself for loving on his baby sister, and this is what Kolbie looks like while she's tolerating him. Pretty cute huh. Maybe sometime soon we will schedule Mommy and son time. We both miss it.

2 months old

Our sister bear is 2 MONTHS OLD today! She is getting bigger and bigger everyday! Kolbie started off in preemie clothes and diapers, ran through newborn size, and is currently in 0-3 months and size 1 diapers! She is a healthy girl, that's for sure. She mostly eats 3oz every 3 hours, but on occasion she will eat 4oz. We have been sleeping 8 full hours most nights, and more often than not here lately Big Brother Kaylon has been waking me up first! What in the world?!
Speaking of Big Brother Kaylon...he loves his baby sister to death! He kisses her all the time! When she is fussy, he searches the house to find her binky and brings it to her. SO sweet. He does get jealous though. He knows when she gets fussy, I'm going to hold her. After he gives her the binky, he'll turn to me with his arms in the air so I'll pick him up instead. Smart guy...!
Pictures to come...
I know, I know...I've been slacking, but really...stay tuned for pictures. (and maybe one day a birth announcement...)
