1st Day at the Beach

We decided on a whim to go to the beach today. We called Ryan while we were on the way and he informed us that we were currently under a tornado watch, but it was too late for us to turn back. Lucky for us, the weather was great. I also called Pop and Noni on the drive out to schedule an over night stay for the kiddo's when they informed me they were already heading to the beach, too. How perfect!

Kaylon had never been to the beach before, so I was curious to see how he was going to handle it. My sweet boy is a little like his mama when it comes to being sticky and dirty. But once he got over his initial shock and attempting to tip toe through the sand, he pretty much just accepted the fact there was no way to avoid the dirt. I could tell he got comfortable with the mess when he started dumping sand in his hair!

Obviously, it was Kolbies 1st day at the beach, too. She was a perfect little angel, kicked back relaxing in the sun, napping most of the afternoon away.

Oh my goodness, after a few hours there was no telling what was in Kaylon's diaper...so I decided to let him "hang loose" for a while before we left. This is where he is a bit like his daddy...a back with crack! hehe! Nothing to hold up those wet britches!

Kaylon and Allie played so well together...They both had to taste the dirt, drink out of the water bottle, and eating the chips of the sandy ground. Yum!

It was a fun day in the sun!
